The RA series of heat pumps are a vertical tower form with horizontal fans.

The smaller models have one fan and the larger models have two fans.

Noise Level

Competition's noise level (dB(A)) ranges from 52- 62 dB(A) comparable to a dishwasher! However, respectful consideration must be given to adjoining neighbours regarding installing any type of mechanical heater, be it gas, oil or an electric heat pump. What one noise level may be accepted or tolerated by one person may not be accepted by another!

Indoor Installation

As the Competition units are vertically mounted, they can be installed either outside or indside.

If installing inside, a through the wall ducting kit can be purchased to vent the fresh air to the unit and to extract the waste air.

What size heat pump do I require for my pool?

Competition's guide for the sizing of your heat pump is as per the table below:-

The sizing chart below assumes the following:-

• 15 deg C / 59F ambient air temperature (Realistic for start of season)

• Average wind speed 2.5 metres per second

• Desired water temperature 30 deg c / 86F

• Average pool depth 1.5m / 5ft

• No water table surrounding pool structure

• Minimum running time 10 hours per day

Warranty

All Competition products come with the following warranty:-

• Lifetime warranty on titanium heat exchanger
• 5-years on compressor
• 5-years on electrical components
• 1-year labour for any repairs (UK only)

Units installed outside the UK have a parts-only warranty.
